Unit 4C:Produce a Preproduction Portfolio

Production log

To keep track of my production, I created a production log so I could see the progress I had made, and also so that I could effectively plan my schedule to ensure that all my work was complete.

Risk assessment

This is an important aspect of my pre-production as I wanted to ensure the safety of the personnel involved in creating my short film, and also to make sure all equipment could be kept safe so that what I borrowed was returned in its original condition.

Call sheet
A call sheet is a document that is sent out to the cast and crew that outlines important details of the filming days. As the only crew I am working with are the actors, I simply created a call sheet for each of them, and included information such as where the filming was taking place and the times of said filming. This meant that filming could be carried out efficiently and the contributors knew what they were doing.

Unfortunately, due to the fact I was unsure of when I'd be able to film because of changing lockdown restrictions, I was unable to finalise dates for my cast and complete the call sheets.

To make sure my work was organised I made sure to keep folders containing different sections of my work. This ensured that none of my work was lost and everything was easy to access. It also helped me keep track of what I had uploaded to my blog and what I hadn't.
I also uploaded some of my documents to Google Drive so I was able to share my work and receive feedback from peers, and so that they were backed up to make sure that I didn't lose any of my work.
